Curses! Having decided to put my time in the kitchens to good use, I began conducting an investimagation of the cooking appliance used by my minions, perchance to uncover some clue to their traitorous behaviour. Unfortunately, my earlier gastronomical upset returned to haunt me, and I was therefore prohibited from concluding my search by a minion entering the kitchen and dislodging me from my position atop the appliance. I can only assume that the outrage the minion expressed on finding me there is PROOF of its treacherous dealings.

I shall have to continue my foray under cover of darkness later tonight ...

Well, this is a sorry state of affairs.

Today, my minions obligingly prepared for me some delicacies as per their instructions - first, some salty and delicious kind of liquid food* followed by a yellow spongey delight which was left out for me to nibble upon.** Clearly they require further instruction in the arts of food preparation, however, because the day's om nom nom-ing resulted in some rather unpleasant moments later on in the afternoon.***

This seems to have lead my minions to some upset, and inexplicably I appear now to be confined to the kitchens. This further fuels my suspicions that there is some sort of conspiracy going on in the midst, as daily I find my attempts to enjoy the pleasures of life**** OBSTRUCTED by the obdurate and malevolent flailings of my underlings.

I must pay closer attention to their whereabouts from now on ...

What a busy day! I'll tell you, being Governor certainly involves a hectic schedule.

First, I attended an important meeting with a couple of my associates. Here are the minutes as taken down by my secretary:

IMPORTANT GUBANOTORIAL MEETING
7:00AM : called associates to meeting by means of pawing at doors and yowling pathetically
7:01AM : jumped into bath
7:02AM : stood in bath and stared at taps
7:05AM : meeting adjourned

I was then treated to some quality snuggles, after which I felt rather queasy and may have been a little sick on one of the beds (Lydia's note: it was mine) provided for my own comfort and convenience, but fortunately I had my staff to clean up after me. Since then, I've taken a stroll round the new receiving room I've had my minions build for me at the back of the house (it's looking good, but will require some more finery before it lives up to my exacting standards), enjoyed some more snuggling, and feasted upon some delicacies provided for me by the kitchen staff.

Now it's time to kick back and relax for the evening. What a day!

Ah, Sunday.

Got my exercise today and bulked up my nose muscles by pushing the food bowl around the kitchen floor. Then I stared at a very interesting wall for a while, and now snoozings are imminent.

I'll tell you, mangling all that leftover cheese yesterday really took it out of me.

Apologies to all for the lack of an update yesterday - it's terribly difficult to find time to write when one is sleeping, sniffing at foodstuffs which would probably be intolerable to my digestive system, and sitting on people in awkward positions.

Anyway, today looks to be just as busy, so I'm taking the opportunity to update you all now. I've already made myself acquainted with the Benecol (got to watch that cholesterol), and after discussing some important issues with one of my ~~minions~~ staff (Lyd's note: For "discussing important issues" read "yowling") I've settled myself in for some quality snoozing. I've probably planned some nefarious deeds for later, but you'll just have to wait and see what they are.

Do you like my "mood theme" btw? I don't think it looks as distinguished or esteemed as my good self, but you get the general idea.
